Overview:

A Voyage Data Recorder (VDR), commonly known as a ‘black box’ is a vital tool for recording all navigation -related information. This recorded data plays a crucial role in analysing the causes of major and minor incidents that occur during a ships voyage.

Headway Voyage Data Recorder (HMT-100A)

The Headway Voyage Data Recorder (HMT-100A) is fully compliant with IMO MSC 333(90) and meets the regularity requirements if IEC 61161-:2013 and IEC 60945.This VDR provides reliable performance for enhancing maritime safety and incident investigation.

Fixed protective Data Capsule (PDC)

The fixed Protective Data Capsule is a robust, high -tech container that stores the past 4 hours of voyage data but also integrates a GMDS satellite position indicator beacon (commonly referred to as EPRIB). When submerged it automatically floats to water’s surface, making it easier to locate and recover via satellite positioning.

Float Free Protective Data Capsule  

The float free protective data Capsule not only stores 48 hours of voyage data but also integrates a GMDS satellite position indicator beacon (commonly referee to as EPRIB)

Main Cabinet Unit  

Equipped with an embedded Linux OS, the Main Cabinet Unit ensures exceptional reliability and energy efficiency, consuming just 20W.Its compact, dust -proof design is suitable for various vessel types. Supported by Headways proprietary technology, spare parts can be supplied promptly to meet operational needs.

Remote Alarm Unit 

The unit can keep monitoring the operating status of the VDR/S-VDR with acoustic and light alarm indications. The LCD can indicate all relevant information for troubleshooting.
